Inventory > Maintenance > Inventory Replenishment
WorkPlace Inventory Replenishment examines stock levels and requirements for an Inventory Item and automatically generates requisitions identifying recommended order quantities. For each item, WorkPlace Inventory Replenishment looks at the desired replenishment level in Dynamics GP Purchase Order Generator Item Maintenance; if there is insufficient quantity in stock (e.g. if the desired stock quantity exceeds the quantity on-hand), the stock manager can generate an inventory replenishment transaction that will automatically create a purchase requisition in WorkPlace and submit it for approval. Any pending requisitions for like stock are taken into account, and those quantities will be automatically subtracted when generating the requisition. Specific criteria can be set identifying items for replenishment, or a single transaction can easily be generated for all items needing replenishment. WorkPlace Inventory Replenishment takes the guesswork out of replenishment and speeds approvals because approvers know that the recommended replenishment quantities conform to their organization's purchasing parameters.
