Calendar Summary

The Calendar Summary page provide users and managers a dashboard view of a specified employee's productivity and project activities for the entire month at a single glance.  The details can be filtered by employee, project element and bill type with the ability to drill into Timesheets or create new transactions for the selected day's period.  Total hours are summarized by Bill Type at the monthly and daily level within the Calendar.

Calendar Controls

Month Navigation

The Date navigation allows the user to quickly navigate to the previous or next month.

Today

Clicking the Today button will navigate to the current month.

Month

Select a specific month from the drop down list.

Year

Select a specific year from the drop down list.  Only years where Time Periods have been setup will be available for selection.

Filter By

Select from the available filter options based on the WorkPlace configuration

Employee

This will default to the current user.  Employees available for selection will be those with Timesheets for that month and based on the Security access to 'View All Timesheets (read-only)' and/or 'View Departmental Only Timesheets (read-only)' for the user.

Contract

This field is available when integrated with Dynamics GP Project Accounting to filter by Contract.

Project

This field is available when integrated with Dynamics GP Project Accounting to filter by Project Number.

Cost Category

This field is available when integrated with Dynamics GP Project Accounting to filter by Cost Category ID.

Project

This field is available when integrated with WorkPlace Project Accounting to filter by Project.  Select a valid Project ID from the zoom window. If modified during System configuration, this field label may vary.

Phase

This field is available when integrated with WorkPlace Project Accounting to filter by Project Phase.  Select a valid Phase ID from the zoom window. If modified during System configuration, this field label may vary.

Activity

This field is available when integrated with WorkPlace Project Accounting to filter by Project Activity.  Select a valid Activity ID from the zoom window. If modified during System configuration, this field label may vary.

Bill Type

Select a Bill Type from the drop down list.  Available Bill Types will be dependent on your Project Accounting configuration.

Clear All

Click to clear all filter option fields.

Apply

Click the Apply button to return to the Calendar and update the data based on the filter selections.

Day Fields

Hours

The total hours for each day are displayed in formula format based on the Bill Type for day's entries.  The hours by bill type are color coded based on the legend displayed in the Total Hours (Month to Date) section at the top of the page.

Timesheets

All Timesheets with entries for that day will be displayed with the Timesheet number.  Clicking on a Timesheet will open the Timesheet Entry page in a separate window if the user has Security access to Timesheet entry.  The following status icons will be displayed for each Timesheet and hovering over the icon will display the detailed text:

Unapproved:  The Timesheet contains lines that are unsubmitted or awaiting approval.

 Approved: The Timesheet has been fully approved.

 Disapproved: The Timesheet contains lines that are disapproved.

 Processed: The Timesheet has been fully processed and moved to history.

New

Click this button to create a new Timesheet for the selected day's period.
