The WorkPlace Inventory Materials Management Solution provides full, transaction-based workflow for users to request release and transfer of Inventory items. Purchase requests for Inventory Items are initiated through the Requisition or Purchase Order Workflows.
Creating a new Release Request is the first step in the Inventory Fulfilment process allowing users to request items from stock. When inventory is requested for release, WorkPlace immediately allocates the requested item(s). Upon submission of a release request, a Pick List report becomes available for the warehouse to print and enter a Transfer/Release Ship session.
Creating a new Transfer Request session is the first step in the inventory transfer workflow allowing users to request items from one location to stock another. When inventory is requested for transfer, WorkPlace immediately allocates the requested item(s). Upon submission of a transfer request, a Pick List report becomes available for the warehouse to print and enter a Transfer/Release Ship session.
Release and Transfer requests can also be initiated through the Requisition Workflow manually or automatically using the Inventory Replenishment process. This seamless integration provides advanced approval workflow options using Routing Rules configuration.
Transfer/Release Ship sessions are created when Inventory Items have been picked from stock and shipped to fulfill Release or Transfer Requests. Upon submission of a Transfer/Release Ship session, a Packing Slip report becomes available for the warehouse to print and include with the Items being delivered which are then available to load into a Transfer/Release Receipt session.
Transfer/Release Receipt sessions are the final step of the Inventory Workflow to record inventory that has been received from shipments fulfilling Release and/or Transfer Requests.
